The SIE landscape is vast and ever-changing. As we brough the State of SIE to life, we began the process of creating a map that aims to show who’s working in the field. 

It is only a snapshot of the wealth of information available. However, even these preliminary efforts show that SIE has clear cross-discipline prevalence and is not just the jurisdiction of those working in nonfiction, or for whom social change is the primary concern.

Our aim was to advance this map and gather information from those furthering SIE, so that we might demonstrate the many facets of this discipline.
