The Series

The Conversation is an unprecedented, and completely scalable, approach to solving racism. A four-part-limited series, that will provoke, intrigue, and engage with powerful character-driven storytelling.

Lead by creative and impact teams that have worked on over 50 films, documentaries and series that have been nominated for Oscar, Emmy, Amnesty International and Sundance awards.

EPISODE 1: CONDITION

Does anti-Black racism exist?

What causes racism?

We will use data to prove that anti-Black racism exists and that it is perpetuated by an implicit racial bias that’s universal in the society we live in. Our audience will become aware that there is a problem and have a solid understanding of where it comes from.

EPISODE 2: CONCERN

Addressing empathy

Why should we care?

EPISODE 3: CORRECTION

Now that our audience understands the problem, we’ll address the extent to which White people care about ending racism. We’ll use data to show how Whites can unconsciously reinforce the racist social hierarchies that benefit them, and why they should care about driving change.

Once the viewer understands the Condition and has sufficient Concern, we will introduce strategies for Correction. We will lay out the practical steps and tools for implementing systemic change, both for individuals and leaders.

Institutional impact in practice

We will devote our final episode entirely to our real world interventions, examining the sacrifices we need to make to impact progress. We’ll focus first on the interventions being made at a micro/individual level, before moving on to real world systems changes.
